Vintage Valentines Exlploding Box

 

Here is a another example of my Exploding Box pattern, vintage style.  Loving these colors together!

Instead of doing the 'mini book' in the pattern, I decided to make pockets (the inner most layer).

(I usually don't use such an assortment, but they went together so beautifully).

Mailbox Exploding Box

 

This is one of two exploding boxes I made for a swap.  I gave my partner a few options and (blindly) let her choose :)  These are SOOOO fun to make and I love the turquoise color added to the traditional valentines colors.  She made an excellent choice!

Mini Exploding Box

 

This is the DARLING exploding box I recieved from my swap partner, Tamra Merrill.  She also included a box of delicious chocolates and an equally darling banner.

I think this was made to hang here in my kitchen ... perfect!

 

Even though it's petite, it still holds some fun interaction.  I love it!



Exploding Fire Cracker Box

 

 

 Lol ... I thought I wrote the pattern for this album a year ago ... turns out I only made the cover page and forgot about the tutorial, so ... here it is!  This is different exploding box pattern from the mailbox or vintage camera pattern.  In a set, however, they'd make two great firework decorations!  Here is the link to the tutorial on my website.  And, here is the link to the you tube video showing the project.  I enjoy pulling these out every year to decorate my home as well as enjoy and reminisce in the memories they hold.  Happy Independence Celebrations this month!
