Scandinavian Days Festival

I have been MIA on the blog and facebook this month ... my husband and I spent every moment of the month preparing for the Scandinavian Days Festival in Ephraim, Utah.  Here is our booth (please excuse the pictures, they were taken on my phone).  This shows a little more about me :)

What do I do to relax ... crochet!  It's a no brainer activity for me and I love to do it while listening to an audio book before bed.

I am also a photographer, and took these Manti Temple pictures (my husband made the frames).  And of course, I scrapbook ... these are extra mini albums I had lying around the house :)  My mother-in-law made the adroably bright aprons.

My husband is a carpenter and makes cabinet doors for a living ... so I got creative and made chalkboard art from these.  I have some left if anyone is ineterested.

The big ticket seller was the Marsmallow Crossbow shooter my husband designed.  They were a HUGE HIT with all the little kids between 2 and 15 ... we sold EVERY SINGLE ONE!!!  Awesome job honey!

Monster Hats!!!

This winter I decided to crochet monster hats for all my kids ... I ended up making them for my husband and myself as well :) Since then I've had soooo many people comment on how darling and awesome they are that I've decided to make them and sale them. They are between $30-$40 dollars a hat (depends on the goodies you'd like added to it and the size). They are a fun chunky style of hat as well, perfect for cold weather fun. You can request certain colors and I'll do my best to find the right ones. Have fun choosing from eyes, horns, pom poms, curly hair, pig tails, mouths, cheeks, etc.
I have something for everyone!

Take a look at these photos and decide what you'd like to have. Then email me at smbadams2003@yahoo.com or call me at 435-327-0165 or Kaylee Tiede 435-720-4143. Please allow 1-2 weeks for the construction and shipping. I have premade white, black, and grey hats on hand for faster processing, if you choose. They have been made in a non-smoking, pet free home (except monsters, of course).

Also, have a look at the simple sizing chart at the end of the photos.

Toothless

Quick post ... I had a new nephew born this month (his infant pictures will be posted on sharinahshack.blogspot.com my photograpy blog, later in May).  His nursery theme is "How to Train Your Dragon."  When I found that out my mind wouldn't stop until I made him a little toothless hat.  How cute is this!

Yes, I do costume hat orders also, just contact me if you are interested.

Crochet Infant Hats

Another hobby of mine is crochet ... when we travel or I'm visiting my family I like to be doing something with my hands.  I made these hats on our way to and from our Easter camping trip this last month (you can't tell what colors of yarn I took with me, can you? ;)  Because I'm a photographer also and I love taking infant and baby pictures I was naturally drawn to making baby and infant hats (although I enjoy making them for my kids, nieces and nephews on occasion also).

I can't decide if I should add earflaps and braids to this little guys hat?  Hum ...
Yes, these are for sale between $15-25 a hat.  Just contact me and we can arrange something (until I get my website up).

These I made at other random times during April.  A nephews birthday party, talking with my sister, etc.
