Let's Boogie Mini Album

Last year I saw Laura Denison's "Surf's Up" beach house on you tube and knew it would be perfect to hold the 500+ pictures I took of my family at the beach that summer.  Here is the link to Laura's pattern.  I used  BoBunny "Key Lime" Collection.  I used a 6x6 stack and a couple sheets of the 12 x 12 to make the beach house and the album, along with coordinating cardstocks.  I finished the beach house last summer, but knew there wasn't enough room in the mini album pattern for my pictures.  Finally, I was inspired to create this album which holds over 100+ photos, most of them 4 x 6!  Here is the link to my pattern on my website.  And here is the link to the you tube video showing my album.  As soon as I was done taking these photos, I loaded my album with all those fun pictures and I love it!  Remember: life is better at the beach!

Load your album with horizontal 4 x 6 photos or in the  place of 4 x 6 photos, use 3 x 4 vertical photos to fill the space.

Also load these books with journaling and more pictures.

The 'drop' on the 'wave circle was an accident.  I applied stickles glitter, let it dry, then glossy accents and walked away.  When I came back the glossy accents had pooled in one spot and dried, forming a 'droplet of water!'  It looks amazing!

Summer/Vacation Smashbook Style Mini Album

Ready to go vacation?  Do you have a place to show all those photos you are going to take, or have already taken?  This mini album was designed to hold those 4x6 photos, as well as postcards. Because we spend most of our time playing and taking photos on vacation, I designed this to be VERY simple!

This is also this month's Ladies Night at JoAnn's in Cedar City, Utah.  It will be June 26th from 6-9pm.  There will be plenty of time to embellish this project during that time, as well.  From my recent report, Corprate JoAnn's is closing their classroom and classes here in Cedar City, so this may be your last chance to take any classes locally for quite some time :(

However, I will still be creating projects and mini albums and posting them here on my blog, as well as writing the patterns and posting them on my website for purchase.  I have loved teaching these last 10 years and hope I can find another place to continue to teach locally as well as abroad :)

Made from different colors and sizes of envelopes, and cards.

There is also lots of pockets to hold your pamphlets, tickets, and other memorabilia.

Love the paper line and the beautiful bright papers :) It just screams, "Let's have some fun!"

DCWV: "The Travel Adventure Stack"

Here is the same book, but with a summer activities theme... and jump rings for the binding instead of the spiral binding method.

Travel Bag Mini

This album I designed to teach at JoAnn's one of these coming months.  The paper is DCWV "My Sunshine Stack."  Love this paper because it can be used for anything summertime: vacation, riding bikes, going to the park, swimming, etc.  I have about half left that I can't wait to find something to use it on. :) I had a closure on it, but it wasn't working (thus the small holes).  I've just picked up a new one, but haven't put it on yet. There is room for 40+ photos/journaling spots in this book (you could fit all of summer in here).

It opens into three sections (there is one under the left half there also).

The top part is a 'book' that opens both ways and holds tags.  The bottom is three flip pockets that hold more tags.

Inside each tied fold up section is a pocket designed to hold an extra tag, as well as, more places for good size photos.

And still there is an even larger tied fold out that holds and extra pocket and an extra page.  This album is approx. 7x5.5x1 and it has a fun handle as well.  Stay in touch for when I will be teaching this album at JoAnn's.  The pattern will be up on my website (which is still in progress) as soon as I get it up :)
